In Luxor of Egypt A mortuary temple constructed during the rule of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of Egypt’s Eighteenth Dynasty is known as the Hatshepsut funerary temple. It is regarded as a masterpiece of ancient architecture and is situated across from the city of Luxor of Egypt. Its three enormous terraces protrude into the Deir el-Bahari cliffs from above the desert plain.
El Qurn, a pyramid for her burial complex, is perched atop the same massif where her tomb is located.
The companion valley temple is located 1 km (0.62 mi) east of the complex and is connected to it by a causeway.

The entire construction points in the direction of the imposing Eighth Pylon, which Hatshepsut added to the Temple of Karnak as her most known work and from which the procession of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley departed. The temple’s axes reveal its dual purposes: its primary east-west axis served to welcome Amun-barque Re’s at the festival’s pinnacle, while its north-south axis symbolised the pharaoh’s life cycle from coronation to rebirth.
